Howard T. Lane
Howard T. Lane is a shareholder in Fauver. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1990 and his law degree from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 1993. Mr. Lane has been admitted to practice before the Ohio Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio and the United States Sixth District Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Ohio State and Lorain County Bar Associations.
Mr. Lane was admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio in 1993. He started his legal career as an Assistant Prosecutor for the City of Canton, Ohio. Mr. Lane’s public employer experience also includes acting as an Assistant Law Director for the City of Canton and an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in the civil division of the Stark County Prosecutor’s Office. As an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, Mr. Lane provided litigation and legal services to numerous county boards, elected officials and agencies. Mr. Lane has been general counsel for the Elyria City School District Board of Education since 2012.
Mr. Lane’s current law practice focuses on litigation-primarily business and real estate litigation. Mr. Lane’s real estate practice includes commercial real estate transactions, lease and purchase transactions, easement and water diversion disputes and land use issues. He has had extensive experience in construction litigation, probate litigation, contract dispute litigation and bankruptcy litigation. His twenty years of litigation experience includes representing private and public clients in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Lane lives in Eaton Township, Ohio with his wife Laura and son Charlie.
